Dogs & My Insanity

I’m still not fully out of the woods yet.

There are good moments while in Denver, and there are..the not so good ones, where I stay home when I should be out exploring, and I solely rely on my 2 wonderful canine companions.

Murphy is 4 years old. He acts like a typical toddler every single night since I arrived. I take him to his bed ‘pod’ _where I have to open it up and he usually immediately slides in and completely disappears_…Then? Like I said, every single night, he crawls into my bedroom around 2 am…Wakes me up as he stands there and just…stares at me, (eye rolling)..then jumps on the bed.

He is such a character! It doesn’t stop there! He sits and stares at me in the dark (eye roll again), then I’m supposed to lift up the covers and he zips underneath … and just disappears! How could he breath while all tucked in that way? Noooo idea! But it happens every night, so I guess he does.

Guinness is 10. He goes nuts when he hears the word ‘walk’. He starts turning around in circles ‘WALK? WALK?!WHAT?! Did you just say..WALK?! Are we walking? Like RIGHT NOW? Well where do I stand for you to put that lead on me? Why are you taking so long? WHAT IS GOING ON? You DID SAY WALK? I DID HEAR YOU SAY WALK! OMG WHAT DO I DO? DANCE? Well I am! LET’S GO ALREADY’

I used to work as a graphic designer, until one day I was tragically and blissfully hit by two colliding meteors! One caused my falling in love with the world of coffee! And the other resulted in me falling out of love with the not so wonderful and nearly suffocating office culture! I left the glamour of the design world, and opened up my little café! Those were the best years of my life! I say ‘were’, because (wait! May be another time! But please do ask me if you ‘must’ know and can’t sleep tonight unless I tell you!) For the past three years, I have been living in a pyramid shape house in a middle of a green forest in the summer; a green forest buried underneath lots - I mean LOTS - of snow in the winter. I used to ‘think I still do ;)’ love the city! With its buzzing energy! I love to travel and seeing different food and coffee scenes...preferably alone! visiting ‘quirky and unusual’ places! I do not love visiting museums, hugely commercialized areas, malls and landmarks! I love old and full of heritage ‘anything’! I also love, to sit in a busy coffeeshop ‘reading quietly’ and not talking! Talking exhausts me most of the time! Watching the world unfold.. and thinking ...never does!

    1. Today was incredibly good Mark. Nothing crazy. Just lots of downtown binging. Cool places. Distilleries (I happened to love good gin), breweries, restaurants, and omg ..the branding? Is spectacular! I miss seeing ‘good’ design.

Today, I’d walk downtown, I’d spot a..logo on a store sign outside…and I’d be ‘oh Heavenly Father in Heaven! There IS good design! Why do I love in Designless town? Just why? I’m sooooo happy right now! Look at this…!!!!’
